WALK IN INTERVIEW

Walk in interview for the following posts will be held on 11th January 2022 at the Mini Board Room of the University of Vavuniya, Park Road, Vavuniya at 9.00 a.m. for FTS and 10.00 a.m. for FAS.
Candidates who have the required qualifications are invited for this interview with relevant certificates, NIC and self-prepared application.

1. Faculty of Technological Studies (FTS)
   • Department of Information & Communication Technology
     • Temporary Demonstrator in Information and Communication Technology
2. Faculty of Applied Science (FAS)
   • Department of Physical Science
     • Temporary Demonstrator in Information Technology
     • Temporary Demonstrator in Applied Mathematics and Computing
       Qualifications: A Degree with specialization in the relevant subject. Salary: Rs. 40,920/- (Fixed)
       Note: In addition to the salary, the allowances approved by the University Grants Commission will also be paid.

II. CALLING APPLICATIONS

The University of Vavuniya will entertain applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following posts.

1. Technical Officer (ICT) Grade. III
2. Security Inspector Grade. II

Technical Officer (ICT) Grade. III
Qualifications:
(i) Should have passed in three (3) subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting in any Stream.
AND
(ii) Having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below than the N.V.Q Level 5 issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or a recognized Institution in the field of Information Communication and Multimedia Technology/Information and Communication Technology/ Information Technology or Equivalent.
• Preference will be given for those who have work experience in ICT.

1. Salary Scale : U-MT1(III) Rs.31,625-7×300;10×355-37,275p.m
2. Selection By : Written and / or practical test and an interview.
3. Age Limit : Not more than 45 years.

Security Inspector Grade. II

Qualifications:

• G.C.E(Ordinary Level) Examination in 06 subjects at not more than 2 sittings with credit passes in 5 subjects. The credit passes must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature and Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.
  OR
• Employees of the University System with not less than 5 years’ satisfactory service and who have passed the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in 06 subjects at not more than 03 sittings. The subjects passed must include Sinhala/Tamil language or Literature & Arithmetic/Commercial Arithmetic/Mathematics.
  AND
• Not less than 05 years satisfactory service in the Police or Armed service or Security service in the University System or other recognized security organization.
•  Should have actively participated in Sports.
• Height : Not less than 5 feet and 4 inches.
• Chest : Not less than 34 inches (Normal).
• Salary Scale : U-MN1(IIIA)Rs.30,725-17×300-35,825p.m
• Selection : By Interview
• Age Limit : Not more than 45 Years
